What to expect?

As the treatment progresses over your chosen area you may feel mild stinging sensations as the plasma arcs from the applicator tip to the skin. The treatment length varies based on the area treated.Following the treatment, you can expect swelling, redness and small brown spots known as carbon crusts. These will scab over the next few days with the scabs expected to fall off by around day 7. It is imperative that you follow the provided aftercare protocol and do not pick at the carbon crusts.

Does the treatment hurt?

You will feel a slight stinging/pinching feeling, your skin can be numbed with numbing cream. This is arranged with our medical doctor who will provide a script.After the treatment you will experience some discomfort that will last a few days depending on your level of health and ability to heal.

What should I do before my treatment?

You should avoid vigorous physical activity, large quantities of alcohol consumption for 24 hours as this increases the risk of bruising. Avoid taking Aspirin and Vitamin E one week prior to your treatment. Please ensure you thoroughly understand your before treatment instructions during your consultation.

The Plasma Lift machine probe is attached to the Plasma Lift handpiece, where a tiny, so-called plasmatic flash is produced in the tip. The probe is not in contact with the skin. The plasma lightning jumps from the tip of the probe to the skin and evaporates, leaving micro carbon dots superficial sized brown spots that look like freckles. These small points draw the skin together in their direct environment.

The extremely accurate handheld device works by utilizing the voltage in the air between its tip and the natural gasses emitted from our skin, to form a plasma charge. A small electrical arc is created and instantly shrinks the targeted skin. The tissues retract and tighten giving you more youthful-looking skin.

The treatment typically 2-5 years, but is subject to the number of treatments you may require, your lifestyle, and ageing process. You will age as you would otherwise and your skin will continue to relax as part of the ageing process. The results can last you years depending on the area treated. The positive effects of treatment will be noticeable immediately after the first treatment, but the best results will be seen after 4 - 12 weeks. A second treatment may be required for best results and may vary due to skin's laxity.
